Donations for the CD-recording   This is a new feature I've added onto the webiste. I have with the greatest ammount of luck got the offer to record a CD to a very friendly price. I will try to make this CD as serious as possible and I would like to devide it into three parts.   The recordingsessions: (which will be about 3 weekends in Stockholm)   Design: This will include photographs, the design of the CD-cover, the little booklet with lyrics etc. I have contacted a friend's friend who's a designer/photographer and he's up for the job to a VERY good price. When the design is finished it will be sent to the next part, (Printing).   Printing: The printing of the CD, the little booklet and CD-cover. This is the part I am working on at the moment. I have to find printingfirms who can match my requests so I have to trawl the market and try to find the best prices with good quality.   I bet this isn't the usual way to record a CD, but this is my dream and I will give it all I got to make it a reality. I hope you don't see this as a way to sneak money from you, there are no force to this whatsoever, it's just for those of you who want to help me with my dream.   I've decided that all donations from 400SEK will lead to your name being printed and thanked in the little booklet of the CD. Welcome     Name: Kent Johan Filip Fredriksson Born: 1989, 9 August, Filipstad Starsign: Lion Lives: Säffle Interests: Music (you didn't expect that one right?) & Hockey Favorite Song: Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms Favorite Film: Walk The Line     Music is important to me and I think that the case is the same for the most of you to. It's a gift to be able to play an instrument and sing and will try to make the most of it. I have written a few songs and there are more to come, you can find some of them here under "downloads". The reason for writing a song varies a lot so it is hard to give you the recepie, but I will do my best trying to describe it in my Blog.   I have different influences such as Eric Clapton, Simon &  Garfunkel, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, but the biggest one of them all is Mark Knopfler. I do not try to copy Mark's style since you will find your own style after a while but there is one thing that he has inpired me with. Every lyric has a meaning and a story attached to it which is unique, it is that I try to achieve, but it feels natural to me.   Music to me is a living creature and it should be unpredictable. Music at its best is when it's played live, since it's then you'll get the real feeling, both as listener and musician. It's live music that sorts out (for me at least) the real musicians. If you can't perform one of your songs live it may be a reason why it just sounds good on CD.   I hope that my songs can be appreciated because I want to bring the feeling that some songs bring to me. It's hard to describe exactly what it is but you know for sure when you've heard a song that has touched and affected you in some way.
